What is a Doula?

The word “doula” comes from the Greek word meaning “servant”. Birth doulas assist the woman, providing emotional and physical support during your labor and birth, offers help and suggestions to the partner so that both have a satisfying birth experience, and the postpartum doula helps the family with practical support after the birth of the baby.

Birth and postpartum doulas spends time with each family prenatally so she can get to know the family and their needs so she can best assist them both during labor and postpartum.

Postpartum doulas provide non-judgmental postpartum support, helping the family make a peaceful and smooth transition into new parenthood.
